She became famous way back in the 1970s after appearing in the ‘Godfather’ franchise and working with director Woody Allen. Diane won an Oscar for Best Actress for her work in 1977’s “Annie Hall” where she starred alongside Woody.
She was born in Los Angeles in 1946 and was the oldest of four children … and her first movie was in 1970 with “Lovers and Other Strangers.”
Diane was never married but had two adopted children — a daughter born in 1996 and a son born in 2001. She made the decision to become a mother at age 50 after her father’s death in 1990.
Her career spanned over five decades … from Broadway’s “Hair” in 1968 to recent films like “Summer Camp” in 2024. She earned multiple Oscar nominations throughout her career and won a Golden Globe for “Something’s Gotta Give” in 2003.
